Overview
Welcome to our log cabin! This three bedroom, two bath, all-wood home is set on five wooded acres less than a mile from the main highway. There is easy access to historic Frederick and Gettysburg. Surrounded by beautiful National and State Parks and only 20 minutes from Ski Liberty. Enjoy a relaxing time surrounded by trees or take a walk along the neighborhood orchards. Sit on the covered porch, relax by the fire-pit and eat on the back patio – or if it’s cold outside, enjoy the wood stove!
Covid-19 note: We are using extra cleaning and disinfecting procedures due to the current situation. You may notice cleaning solution odors during your stay. We will try to keep this to a minimum, but your safety is our first priority.
Please note our pet policy. We don't allow cats, but dogs are welcome. If you have severe pet allergies, I'm afraid that our space won't work for you. We clean carefully after pets stay. But, inevitably there's going to be some impact to the space, so please be aware for your comfort.
There’s room for 9 people to sleep comfortably. There are two queen beds, a trundle bed (two twin beds with pull-out extra mattresses), and a bunk / trundle bed combination. Someone could also sleep on the comfortable sofa in the living room. The house has two full bathrooms. Upstairs, there is a shower / tub combination. For guests who are mobility impaired, the first floor has a walk-in shower and sofa to sleep on, so that it is not necessary to go upstairs. The rear doors are two small steps and you may back your car up towards the rear of the house if getting around the front is challenging - simply have one person unlock the home in the front, walk through to the right to the rear and unlock the rear sliding door in front of the dining room table. Please let us know in advance if you'd like to come in directly that way and we'll be sure to leave that sliding door unlocked for your convenience.
Our house has two front doors. The first door at the top of the deck stairs leads straight to a mud room with a washer and dryer for your wet clothes. The main door to the cabin is further around the porch. For skiers, there is a ski rack and boot dryers. You can hop right in the shower from there to warm up!

We love the cabin. We spent the weekend here for my daughter 16th birthday and all the kids went skiing on Saturday. It was exactly what we were looking for.
